FOOD FOR THOUGHT


For the person who made a drawing on the first page of my orange notebook more than a year ago:

That image will always startle me. Always.
And I'll never tell you why.

    That bloom was really a start isn't it. Well at least it is for me.

    The least I can hope for any works I've done is that it could ignite something within the spectator's eyes, anything, be it irritation, or wonderment, or questions: however small, however subtle, the shift of people's face when they encounter my works is the highest praise I could get. Thus, this is a thundering accolade. Even more, it's one that is written by one of my favorite person on earth.

    I miss you.
